Peter Kandagor

Represents Kabarion Conservancy/ Lake Baringo & Kamnarok Landscape

With vast teaching experience with over 20 years serving as high school principal in Bachelor’s degree in Education. He is the founding member of BCCA and the current chairperson and he is also representing BCCA at National Conservancies Council board –KWCA. His is pro conservationist, forefront in championing and advocating for protection of natural resources.

Paul Chepkeitany

Represents Morop Tarambas Conservancy/ Highland Landscape

Paul is a dedicate community conservationist with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Special Needs Education from Hosanna University and KISE respectively having worked with Community Development Organizations and current Morop Tarambas Conservancy Coordinator. He is also serving as a treasurer at BCCA board and the current chair of Baringo Peace Consortium.

Evans Kandie Kipturgo

Represents Baringo County Government

Honed Management skills with 7 years’ experience working with Baringo County Government as County Head of Tourism, Completed Senior Management Course (SMC) and holds a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management degree from Moi University. Founder and served in various Boards committees including BCCA 2017 to date, KWCA (2O12-2016), Rift Lakes Conservancies Association RLCA (2012-2016) with Central Rift Honorary Warden appointed by KWS from 2020 to date. With vast professional experience in Tourism and Wildlife he has been providing technical advice on matters pertaining to Tourism, Wildlife, overall planning, directions, overseeing, coordination, evaluation, and implementation of programs/projects of the department.

Josephine Kosgei

Represents Kiborit Conservancy/ Highland Lanscape

Josephine holds a diploma in Theology served in the ministry for 13years. She is currently Kiborit Community Conservancy secretary since 2016 aside from that she also engages in self-help groups in the community and have participated in community awareness meeting and bring all stakeholders to protect nature

Joel Kibet

Represents Chuine Conservancy/ Lake Bogoria Landscape

Over 15 years teaching experience and current deputy head teacher at Loboi Primary. Possess a strong track record in improving test scores and teaching effectively with a proven quality leadership and management skills. Passion for conservation has seen him being among the founders of Chuine Community Conservancy currently serving as the secretary. He has also served in various boards including BCCA as secretary.

Raymond Kipkemei

Represents Kiborgoch Conservancy/ Land Bogoria Landscape

Registered Nursing Officer with 21 years’ experience serving in the health department with extensive knowledge of health care services. Academically, he holds Diploma in Nursing from Nakuru KMTC and A.I.C Kijabe this has seen him working with various organizations including Baringo County Government, Ministry of Health Government of Kenya, A.I.C Health Ministries and Childcare Worldwide. He is highly passionate with community outreaches, leadership management and governance and he is the founder and board member of BCCA since 2016 and current Vice Chairperson additionally, he has served in various board this include Secretary Kiborgoch Community Wildlife and Wetland Conservancy for 8 years.

Benjamin Kiplagat

Represents Kimngochoch Conservancy/ Highland Landscape

With 29 years teaching experience Benjamin has exemplary leadership and management skills currently serving as curriculum support officer in Tiaty. Holds Master’s degree in Education Administration and has been responsible in accelerating learning programs to accommodate all the learners and this has seen him in various steering committee which provide oversight management prior to being elected into BCCA board he also the founder and chairperson of Kimngochoch Community Conservancy. He is also the founder of Tenges Forest Association CFA. His Ultimate goal is to positively impact young generation and improving the livelihood of the community.

Ivy Jebichii Kibon

Represents Kiborgoch Conservancy/ Lake Bogoria Landscape

Ivy holds a certificate in Health records and currently volunteering at Loboi Health Centre as a Community Health Volunteer (CHV). She has a zeal for community roles encouraging and referring mothers and adolescent to visit the hospital Antenatal care, Access to Linda Mama services and NHIF, routine Immunization, Family planning services and Cervical Cancer screening. She has also played active role in mobilizing the community to have Pit latrines, Compost pit and have hand washing containers so as to improve hygiene and sanitation. Currently serving as treasurer in Lake Bogoria Landscape Kiborgoch Conservancy and also a board member for BCCA and KWCA. Above all she is a gender ambassador through Championing for women and women groups to participate in conservation activities and livelihoods.

Kipkorir Cheruiyot

Represents Kenya Wildlife Services

Experienced warden with 29 years’ experience working with Kenya Wildlife Service. Currently serves as the KWS Baringo County Warden, he is committed to conserving, managing Kenya’s wildlife and their habitats. Notably, he has participated in creating awareness on importance of protecting wildlife corridors and preserving our heritage. He is serving as a BCCA board member since 2021

John Kosgei

Represents Kiplombe/ Highland Landscape Conservancy

John is a retired Civil servant with vast experience having worked as a civil servant for Government of Kenya under department of supplies for 24 years. He has participated in various community development projects to champion for protection and conservation of natural resources. His Passion for conservation and wildlife protection saw him championing for establishment of Kiplombe Community Conservancy way back in 2016 where he served as the Chairman. John has been appointed to various boards such as Kiplombe primary Chairperson and currently sitting in procurement and ethics committee in BCCA board.

Jackson Komen

Represents Baringo County Government

A researcher with broad experience in Tourism and Wildlife Management currently working with Baringo County Government as County Warden at Lake Baringo conservation area since 2007 and he is pursuing is Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management at Moi University. Jackson holds Certificate in Film production, Editing & DVD production, basic camera operations, script writing and narration, media ethics, advanced film post production, media and Database Management – University of Leicester United Kingdom, other academic certificates include higher in Diploma Project Planning & Management from Graduate Hampton Community College South Africa, Graduate Diploma Tourism & Wildlife Management from Moi University, Certificate in Earth watch fellowship training “ science for soda lakes “ using ecological information to underpin Management plans in Rift valley Lakes -Darwin initiative Lakes of the Rift valley 2007 and most recently graduated from KWS- Law Enforcement Academy and awarded Certificate in Para military Wildlife Ranger’s course .This has seen him being elected into various boards including BCCA.

Rebby Chepchumba Sebei

Represents Ruko Conservancy/ Lake Baringo & Kamnarok Landscape

Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration has 5 years’ experience serving at Ruko Wildlife Conservancy as a manager, elected board member for BCCA and Save Giraffe. Broad skills in wildlife protection and community-led initiatives

Joseph Olenaso

Ruko Conservancy/Lake Baringo & Lake Kamnarok Landscape

Has experience of 10 years working with community conservancy started as a ranger at Ruko Wildlife Conservancy currently serving as a chairman and BCCA board member also taking up administrative roles as Assistant Chief at Rugus location. He highly passionate in working with the indigenous people and local communities this began when he finished his O level.

Reuben Chebon

Irong Conservancy/ Lake Bogoria Landscape

Masters graduate in Leadership Management from Kenya Methodist University a teacher by profession with under graduate degree in Education and Counselling and vast experience in leadership with over 20-year headship role. Has high Interested in identifying scientific names of indigenous trees species, shrubs and weeds, wildlife and environment conservation current secretary of Irong Community Conservancy and BCCA board member

Japhet Kimuge

Sinibo Conservancy-/Lake Baringo & Lake Kamnarok Landscape

A teacher by profession with over 20 years’ experience current head teacher at Chelaba Primary School, he has participated in various community development projects to champion for protection and conservation of natural resources. He is the current secretary Sinibo Geopoark and Conservancy serving since 2021 and has chaired different boards including Marigat Township Fellowship Academy and recently elected to serve BCCA board.
